FAQ

(Well, the sort of questions we were hoping people would ask. We can't help with next week's lottery numbers, the weather, or the location of that cache you've DNFed five times already.....)

Where is it?
The 2027 Mega will be taking place at the Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa.

When is it?
The Mega will be on Saturday July 31st 2027. It's the weekend after Piratemania, just to keep the timing as helpful as possible if you want to go to both Megas.

Is it a full week, or just the Saturday?
It's a one day Mega similar to London Calling, the Geolympix, and various megas we've been to in continental Europe. However, we'll be working with Piratemania to make sure there's plenty to do, and there will of course be a wide selection of new caches to have a go at.

What about accommodation?
Those lovely folks at Piratemania, which is very close by, have kindly agreed to extend their camping to the end of the week. You'll be able to attend both Megas without having to pack up all your camping stuff halfway through ... yay! If you're not into camping, then there's the usual variety of hotels etc available in the region.

Is there an entrance fee?
We'll be making a small entry charge to cover the venue hire, but we'll be trying to keep this as low as possible. (After all, if we made it too expensive, nobody would come!)

What about merchandise?
Our first edition geocoins have all now sold. We're currently waiting on a fresh batch in an exciting new colour scheme, and these will be on sale as soon as we have them. We now have T-shirts available on our shop - both with our logo, and with the "Found It" design, based on the Warwichshire flag, which went down so well at the East Anglia Mega. We also have Supporters' Packs available to order.

What can I do to help?
Spread the word - let people know there's going to be a Mega in the West Midlands in 2027 - and help us to fundraise if you can. Nearer the time, we'll also be calling for volunteers to help on the day.
